By building on the experience of the visit by the Chairman of the Badminton Association of Maldives in February 2015 and taking part in the official establishment of “SPORT FOR TOMORROW” project, the Alpha Badminton Network is able to create a world-class training experience for young badminton players.

For this program, the Alpha Badminton Network invited two promising junior female badminton players who are training for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and a badminton coach from the Badminton Association of Maldives to Japan in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Nippon Badminton Association.

Feedback from Local Contacts :

The Badminton Association of Maldives has been presented the opportunity to boost the development of badminton in our country by preparing our badminton players to perform in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. We were successfully able to send two of our most promising junior female badminton players in U16 and one badminton coach to Japan with the wonderful support from many of you. The two female badminton players can not only improve their badminton skills, but also learn the Japanese culture and lifestyle, and as a result, deepen their understanding and relationships with Japanese players during their stay with the host family in Japan. This international badminton exchange program certainly allows the two female badminton players to establish positive foreign human relations during their stay in Japan.
