The Sports Academy development support program of the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya aims to hold international seminars intended for graduate level students from countries around the world, and leaders and managers that can obtain endorsement from the NOC of countries, develop international Olympic education programs and to train global human resources that can play an active role in the world of sports in the future.

Young researchers and athletes, coaches from 14 countries and regions were invited to the 2 seminars. The seminars consisted of basic theories of Olympic education and application theories of sports management as well as martial arts and sports practices, cutting-edge sports science classes which are this university’s exclusive identities, and also cultural experiences for Kagoshima and Japan, and sports facility tours in Osaka (second session) were held. Along with the first seminar, an international symposium about the Olympic legacy was held, making the Tokyo Olympics/Paralympics feel much closer which was meaningful.
