Otake Surf Life Saving Club has conducted a summer junior program for elementary and junior high school students with its sister club, BMD Northcliffe in Australia.
After 10 elementary and junior high school students grasped the sea conditions, they practiced competitions on the beach and the sea and learned first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in case of emergency.
This program aims to reduce waterside accidents by learning about the dangers and enjoyment of the sea while becoming more familiar with it.
It was a good stimulus for the children to be able to interact with the members of BMD Northcliffe, the world's number one club, as well as practice for competitions such as beach flags, surfing with nipper boards, and kickboards, and swimming in the sea.
