The Ski Association of japan (SAJ) conducted the program on 20 to 30 March, 2016; inviting two Alpine skiers, directors from the Winter Games Federation of India and with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the program, training, and participation in the International Ski Federation’s approved competition and inspection of the facilities/competition management was conducted in Sugadaira Kogen of Nagano prefecture. We also engaged in discussion with the Director-General by visiting the Secretariat of the Federation, which featured dialogue on the project and a meaningful exchange of opinions regarding the future partnership between Japan and India. Since the next two Winter Olympics will be hosted in Korea ( PyeongChang) and China (Beijing), Asia will become a key Winter Olympics location. We, in Japan, would like to continue striving to consolidate the game power of Asian countries as a leader of Japan.Feedback from Participant :
We really appreciate all those involved for conducting a fruitful and meaningful program. In Nagano prefecture, we participated in the training and competition and could learn about the basic facilities and competition management. Our visit to Japan on this occasion was a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the fact that countries in the Asian region must collaborate and under the leadership of Japan on improving game power to promote many Asian athletes; including those in India participating in major international competitions in future.
