Members of the Thai Anti-Doping Agency (DCAT) visited and a progress meeting was held to provide information on JADA’s anti-doping efforts and to support the capacity for educational program development that has been implemented since fiscal 2018.

(1) Provision of Information to DCAT Board Members
JADA presented an outline of the anti-doping activities (education, testing, results management, etc.) that it conducts in Japan. It also shared information on its efforts for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and a question and answer session was held on points that can be utilised for anti-doping activities in Thailand. It is expected that anti-doping activities in Thailand will be strengthened, but also, that the quality of information provision to athletes in the lead up to the Tokyo 2020 games will be improved.


(2) Progress Meeting on Development of Educational Programmes in Thailand
In response to the capacity support activities implemented in fiscal 2018, the educational programme development proposal formulated by DCAT was approved. In addition, opinions were exchanged on creating a more detailed plan in order to implement activities.
