A football school was held for persons with disabilities who use facilities based in Phnom Penh (PACHID, Hands of Hope Community, PPCIL, etc.) and children in orphanages (UNACAS, etc.) in September, November 2016 and March 2017. The football school was operated by a local instructor, and the physiotherapists and occupational therapists who are NPO staff members supported the coach's instructions and dealt with injuries. The football school was held in a way that the instructor could easily proceed with local children.

In Cambodia, it is believed that people with disabilities did bad things in their previous lives, and people with disabilities have great resistance and difficulty in participating in society. Many children live in orphanages due to the civil war and HIV.
There are very few arts and sports activities in school education, and there are few opportunities to come into contact with sports and connect with others through sports. Sports are effective in developing children and building relationships with others and can create opportunities for social participation through sports.

With the support of Japan, we were able to emphasize the participation of people with disabilities in being able to play sports and participate in society.
People with disabilities living in and around Phnom Penh, Cambodia, were able to experience sports that they had never experienced before. Through moving to sports places and activities, we were able to provide opportunities for social participation.
Children entering orphanages had the opportunity to recognize their differences and collaborated with others through the physical activity of football.
Going out to schools and places outside the facility has expanded the range of social participation for children entering the facility.

See below for the Japanese version.
