The 15th Asian Association for Sport Management Conference was held at the Hongo Campus of Juntendo University. Researchers and students from Asia met to give oral and poster presentations, and scholars and experts from North American and Europe were invited to give the keynote speech and hold symposia.

The conference was hosted in Japan for the first time in the 13 years since 2006. In the keynote speech and symposia, information was exchanged on sports management in each country such as creating a gender-equal sports culture, creating a legacy for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and utilizing big data in sports. In addition, a tour of the venues for the Tokyo 2020 Games was conducted. A welcome party and farewell party served to promote interaction among the participants and contributed to further development of sports management in Asian countries.
