With all its wealth, Monaco provides limited support as far as gymnastics is concerned. The scale of club activities is limited under the school system, leaving many young and competent athletes without opportunities to develop their skills. This was why we invited the junior gymnastics team to help them develop their skills by providing guidance to both the gymnasts and their coaches in the Japanese gymnastic environment. Since gymnastics is a popular event in Monaco, the gymnasts may be able to receive government support with their outstanding performance in the future.


Training Sessions: 9:30 - 11:30 am, 2:30 - 5:30 pm
Morning:

Stretching and warming up with due consideration to individual gymnasts (30 minutes), basic training (30 min), tumbling trampoline (30 min), mastering basic skills on the balance beam (30 min)

Afternoon:

Warm-up (20 min), tumbling trampoline (60 min), mastering skills on uneven bars and the balance beam (90 min), cool-down (10 min)


Note:

-Training was provided on how to build body and improve flexibility geared for competitive gymnastics. The tumbling trampoline was also used for acquiring basic skills of gymnastic exercises as well as step-by-step instructional method for basic techniques (i.e., twisting and tumbling) in floor exercises.
-We focused on improving flexibility as well as basic training essential to gymnasts. We also offered guidance and suggestions on the techniques they were currently working on or had worked on in the past.
