This year’s tournament, the 17th of its kind, worked for the sound development of young people through football with the popularisation of football, improvement of their skills and international cross-cultural exchange as the basic principles. The tournament venue and accommodations are located in the same facility, enabling the participants to communicate with each other and understand each other’s cultures through playing games and living together.

A total of 19 teams, three overseas teams and 13 Japanese teams, competed with each other in a preliminary league and then a final tournament determines the champion. It is a valuable experience for young people to play international matches as members of independent youth teams. This experience can develop their potential as players. They participated in games and also a welcome party. A sightseeing tour of Fukuoka was organised for the overseas teams so they could learn about Japanese culture. We also held clinics for very young football players and events in collaboration with e-sports.
