The purpose of this event was to implement an awareness program on how to enjoy the outdoors and manners through trail running competitions in Yamanashi Prefecture, not only putting weight on the competition but also on educational elements, such as greetings during the competition and calling out if there are people in trouble.
Trail running competitions are increasing year by year in Japan, but competitions specializing in the junior generation are rarely held except for FUJIO PROJECT. The name of the tournament is simple, "Region name + Jr TRAIL RUN", and the number of participants of foreign children is increasing year by year.
Of the 300 participants, 10% of them were foreign nationals, and they were able to have international exchanges through trail running.
