At the Sophia University International Conference, the Paralympic support center held an international symposium entitled "Sports for the Disabled and Issues of International Cooperation-Focusing on Southeast Asia". About 200 people, including Sophia University students and the public, joined the symposium.

The Japan Sports Agency Deputy Director, the Vice Chairman of the Asian Paralympic Committee, and the JICA Section Manager were invited. Experts from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia were also invited to give a lecture about the issues on the international cooperation through sports for people with disabilities in Southeast Asia.
