We also invited Nigeria, a developing country in gymnastics, to allow them to be exposed to the gymnastics environment in Japan and for athlete’s participation and athletic guidance. In order to improve competitiveness for the Tokyo 2020 Games, it was a training camp that emphasized learning Japanese practice methods with athletes and coaches. This was the second training camp in Japan, and the aim is to continue exchanges between the two countries in the future.
In the morning, athletes learned the following: warming up, building the body, and learning the skills of the competition. In the afternoon, the athletes warmed up and prepared for the technical practice of each event and practiced the basics of the competition. They also were taught how to build a body that suits the sports characteristics of gymnastics and how to capture the latest technology using a trampoline. In addition to teaching the need for flexibility, the seminar also provided guidance and advice on new techniques.

Feedback from :
Comments from participants (Cuba):
I was surprised that the usage of equipment and training methods are quite different between Cuba and Japan. I learned how to practice with Japanese players and coach coaches, so I would like to use it to improve the Cuban team in the future. The practice of Mr. Uchimura and the coach is a learning experience just by looking at it, but I am very grateful that he actually taught me how to tackle the technique and how to use the equipment correctly.
Comments from participants (Nigeria):
Nigeria does not have an environment for practicing gymnastics. Japan has excellent equipment and facilities and specializes in safety, so it was a wonderful experience for the players to practice, which they cannot usually do. I was able to observe the practice of Mr. Uchimura player, practice with Japanese junior players, and absorb various techniques and skills.
