An overseas training program was held at Osaka University of Economics and Law in Nepal from the 20th to the 27th of February 2018. 16 students were invited to participate. The staff partook in the training and activities which included interacting with children through baseball and introducing Japanese culture at elementary schools. Students from the Osaka University of Economics and Law also participated in the event. As part of the training, a friendly match was held with Bhaktapur children, including the youth baseball team. The friendly match was attended by the local youth baseball team Bhaktapur Rising Stars and children from two schools.
Many of the children at school had no experience in baseball, and students from Osaka University of Economics and Law enthusiastically gave lessons to the elementary students. After that, a match between Osaka University of Economics and Law and Bhaktapur Rising Stars was held, and Osaka University of Economics and Law won the match.

Feedback from Local Contacts :
Comments from Roshan Tapa, Representative of Bhaktapur Baseball Softball Club:
Through baseball, children and Japanese college students were able to build a friendly relationship, and it was a meaningful match. The children were also very happy to learn how to practice. I would like to continue to play such games in the future.
