We are working to warn foreigners visiting Japan about the prevention of heatstroke in multiple languages. We created easy-to-understand videos in English and pictograms, which were widely broadcasted on sports competitions, events, street television, and airplanes.
In 2017, we broadly educated foreigners visiting Japan about heatstroke prevention at the following three venues:
1) June 3-7: East Asian Basketball Championship 2017 (approx. 100 players)
2) July-August: Japan Airlines domestic and international flights (video: about 120,000 people)
3) July 15-16: Enlightenment event at Shibuya Hachiko Square.
