The Budapest Judo Federation visited Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture as a town concept commemorative project for the host town project for the Olympic Games.
The "Gunma Judo Federation and Budapest Judo Federation Exchange Judo Tournament" was held in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of Hungary and the Embassy of Hungary in Japan.

We provided opportunities to experience Japanese culture, including various international exchange projects such as youth exchanges with students, and visiting sightseeing spots in the four municipalities of the Olympic camp (Maebashi City, Shibukawa City, Yoshioka Town, and Shinto Village).
This was the first step towards attracting Hungarian judo competition pre-camping sites in the city.

Main project activities:
1. Gunma Judo Federation and Budapest Judo Federation Exchange Judo Tournament
2. Introduction of Japanese culture
- "Danbe dance experience" and "shopping experience" with junior high school students
- Kokeshi painting experience, etc.
3. Judo practice session with Mr. Heitosh Bertalan, an Olympian from Hungary and a silver medalist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
