The Japan Football Association (JFA) helped host the U-16 International Friendship Tournament in Tashkent.
Shortly after its establishment, we taught the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) how to run the tournament and how to market it, intending to solidify the foundations of regional associations and clubs. We also support the spread, development, and improvement of the competitiveness of football, including youth generation and women's football.
In Tashkent, where the CAFA headquarters is located, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Japan held a U-16 exchange tournament, hosted by the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFF), and supported by the JFA. They learned about tournament management from the event, conducted training for marketers in associations and local clubs, and shared practical marketing know-how on sponsorship revenue.

Feedback from Local Contacts :
Comments from Mr. Sherzod Igamberdiev, the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFF):
By understanding how Japanese sports marketing has developed, I was able to think about how to respond to improve the marketing power of the Uzbekistan soccer world in the future. I hope that the Uzbekistan Football Federation and each club will acquire new sponsors and increase their income by utilizing what they have learned at the seminar, which will lead to the spread and development of Uzbekistan football.
