By teaching special needs education details and tag Rugby expertise in Japan, this program was able to provide new ideas to Laos, where special needs education is at an early stage. Tag rugby was played with children and adults have disabilities, teaching the participants to respect one another regardless of whether they have disabilities or not.
In cooperation with Oita Prefecture, the host of the RWC 2019, and Beppu City, the official team camp site, the JSC and JRFU conducted a program to support the development of a cooperative society using rugby as a tool in Laos. Based on the popularization of rugby pursued by the JRFU and its value, training sessions and workshops on tag rugby were conducted. During the keynote address, information on lifelong education conducted by Oita Prefecture and Beppu City was provided.
