We held the Universal Football Festival in Taipei for the goodwill between Japan and Taiwan through sports for people with disabilities. With the support of local special schools and university student volunteers, we were able to convey the thrill of sports to students with intellectual disabilities through football.
We will work to contribute to the spread of soccer for people with disabilities in Taiwan, including the training of leaders.

In Taiwan, football is not a familiar sport, so I was wondering if children would be confused, but they actively communicated through soccer and enjoyed interacting with their friends. This program was also a good opportunity for volunteer college students to think about interacting with people with disabilities. While there are children with disabilities who can enjoy activities by actively encouraging them, they also noticed the children who were slowly moving and had to be very careful, and we were able to devise ourselves and enjoy the interaction.
